Who We Are

Born from British Coal Technical Services, CES Environmental Instruments Ltd. have provided emissions monitoring services to industry since 1994 as a private company. As our reputation and customer base has grown the company has also steadily grown to meet the demand for it's specialist services. CES is now recognised as a leader in the emissions monitoring field. We undertake emissions monitoring across a wide and varied range of industries from animal crematoria and spray plant to brick making, petro-chemical, power generation and cement manufacturing.

We have full UKAS, MCERTS and ISO 9001 accreditation. Working alongside the Environment Agency, we piloted the introduction of BS EN 14181 - quality assurance of automated measuring systems. This led to us being amongst the first companies to achieve UKAS accreditation for BS EN 14181.

We are so much more than just an emissions testing company. After operating for almost 30 years, serving customers across the UK and over seas we have expanded our services to meet any need our customers might have. We can supply you with equipment, bespoke training, technical support and offer a wide range of repair, maintenance and service contract options making us you're all in one environmental testing solution.
